Areas of Expertise
Consultation
The decision to undertake therapy is often a complex one. Therapy requires an investment of time and resources. In addition, the prospect of relating to past and present difficulties can seem emotionally draining and raise the question of whether it is worth the effort.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has become a primary treatment of choice in many countries worldwide. The benefits of this therapy are now being recognized in Israel, and CBT is now used to treat several problems. CBT is a model that focuses on the link between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Parental Guidance
For several years, I have been treating children and guiding parents. In many cases, a child with specific difficulties must receive treatment. This may take many forms, including play therapy, CBT, or family therapy. In some circumstances, change can be made through the family unit.
Psychotherapy
The aim of psychotherapy is to improve well-being by helping clients gain insight into their difficulties or distress. It involves exploring the impact of experiences and the less conscious facets of one's internal world. This is achieved through talking about feelings, beliefs, thoughts, and memories of past and present events.
Crisis Support
Many of us go through our lives with little emotional distress and, under normal conditions, may never feel a need for therapy. However, there are times when positive and negative life changes can cause us great stress. At such points, the stress hinders our ability to function normally.
Couples Therapy
In addition to my work as a clinical psychologist, I have trained and worked as a life coach. Psychological therapy and coaching are two separate disciplines requiring different specialized training. In my practice, I offer coaching as a separate professional service from therapy.
My Approach
Each individual's background, circumstances, and personality are unique, as are their needs and recourses. Because of this, I believe each person's therapeutic needs are different. In my practice, I aim to tailor the therapy I provide to each person's unique situation. We embark on this process together, actively and openly determining the length and method of treatment. I believe that therapy can be an amazing space where growth and development take place. Goles might change during the process, but I try to create a working relationship that is not only supportive but active and purposeful.
